Two people are confirmed dead in attempts to cross the Channel
1st April 2026
Two refugees have died off the coast of France during an attempt to cross the English Channel. Six others were rescued. This comes as police brutality in France escalates, and comes a day after the government signed an extension with France to help 'reduce crossings'.
URGENT CAMPAIGN

TELL THE UK GOVERNMENT TO LET REFUGEE CHILDREN BE REUNITED WITH THEIR FAMILIES!
In September 2025, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer halted all reunification rights of refugee families.
This means THOUSANDS of refugee children are no longer allowed to be reunited with their parents or other surviving members of their families on UK soil.
We support Safe Passage International's case AGAINST the UK Government seeking to stop this cruel and illegal policy and reinstate the rights of ALL REFUGEES TO BE REUNITED WITH THEIR LOVED ONES.

The case is due to be heard in the UK courts in May 2026.

How We Work

LISTEN
Before each and every convoy, our frontline partners inform us of the latest developments and latest needs on the ground. Following their updates, we gather exactly what is needed, whether it be tents and sleeping bags, soap and toothbrushes, or bulk foods.

DELIVER
Having gathered exactly what's needed, we deliver what we can per convoy directly to our partnering frontliners. The goal is to enable immediate distribution of emergency aid and shorten wait times for people in need.

CHANGE
Whilst frontline teams are busy working in the refugee camps, we lobby the UK government, raise awareness of the harsh realities facing all refugees fleeing war and persecution, and mobilise who we can to assist us in our works.

Read them. Borrow them. Buy them...

However you use them, thank you...
Thanks to every reader of The Boy at the Back of the Class and The Girl at the Front of the Class, O's Refugee Aid Team can continue its works without having to launch endless appeals for funds.
We are grateful to everyone who uses these stories to not only raise awareness of the plight of refugee children around the world, but to assist us in our works.

We couldn't do what we do
without you...
