With the rise of the Far Right and the increasing normalisation of anti-refugee violence and racist hate across political spectrums in the UK, news coverage of what (non-White) refugees are forced to endure when fleeing war zones, manmade disasters and genocides is often reductionist, one-sided and dehumanising.
Or non-existent.
It remains crucial for our lobbying works to stay abreast of what is happening to those who are increasingly, both blamed and punished for daring to seek refuge from events beyond their control.

Far Right 'Portsmouth Patriots' attack for second week
13th September 2026
Two men and a teenage boy were arrested as far-right 'activists' calling themselves the 'Portsmouth Patriots' gathered in Portsmouth for a second weekend. The march was led by 'Danny Tommo' (former bodyguard of Tommy Robinson) of the 'Patriot Platform'. The march was greeted by anti-fascist protesters. READ ON >>>
RNLI sees donations boost following attacks on volunteers and museums

The RNLI, led by CE Peter Starks, has condemned the ‘disgraceful’ targeting of its services by Far Right thugs which led to volunteers being advised to hide their uniforms and museums closing, and insists it will continue its core purpose of saving lives at sea. Police to be investigated for slow response to Far Right Dover protest
7th September 2026
UK police are under pressure to explain their 'soft' approach to Far-Right gangs, after nearly 500 masked men brought Dover port to a standstill, and the action repeated the following day in Portsmouth. Kent Police made no arrests, and were criticised for even being seen to be walking alongside them. READ ON >>>
Far Right 'thuggish' protestors descend on Portsmouth, UK
6th September 2026
Hundreds of men, some wearing balaclavas similar to yesterday's 'protestors' at Dover port, tried to stop refugees who had survived a channel crossing from being transported to processing centres. Descending on the port at 1am, it took police two hours to remove them with threats of arrest.

Hundreds of masked, black-clad 'protesters' blockaded roads leading into the port of Dover this morning. The demonstration, organized by a Far Right group called The Patriot Platform, chanted 'Stop the Boats': an anti-refugee slogan popularised by mainstream politicians and media. WATCH ON >>>

FORTY CHILDREN still missing from UK asylum 'hotels'!

Of the 472 unaccompanied refugee children - some as young as 12 - who went 'missing' from asylum hotels run by the UK Home Office in 2023, forty children have still not been found. EHRC slams UK govt for failing to uphold basic rights of refugees

The UK government has been condemned for taking ‘inconsistent action’ – the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s (EHRC) lowest ranking – to uphold the legal rights of refugee asylum seekers and for exposing refugee families "to a higher risk of poverty” and destitution.
Four people die in an effort to cross the Channel, with 42 souls rescued
10th April 2026
In yet another tragedy this month, French authorities have confirmed the deaths of two women and two men who were swept out to sea by strong currents as they tried to board a 'taxi' dinghy. 42 of their fellow refugees were rescued with 37 now being treated by emergency services.

Two people are confirmed dead in attempts to cross the Channel

Two refugees have died off the coast of France during an attempt to cross the English Channel. Six others were rescued. This comes as police brutality in France escalates, and comes a day after the government signed an extension with France to help 'reduce crossings'.
