UPCOMING CONVOY
DATE: Tuesday 17th March 2026
LOCATION: Grand-Synth region, Northern France
AIM: To deliver crucial supplies to the MRS warehouse teams + x1 field visit to assess the latest status of refugee 'camps'. Hopefully funds for hot, fresh Eid foods to Salam Kitchens too.
NUMBER OF VEHICLES: TBC
GOODS NEEDED:Tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulin, raincoats/umbrellas, foods, underwear, mobile phone cables (for charging). See FULL GOODS LIST HERE.
GROUND UPDATE:
-Extreme wet weather, coupled with police brutality and an increasing number of Far Right groups travelling from the UK to abuse refugees has led to heightened tensions and desperation.
-Police forces have taken to building walls overnight after clearance raids, to stop refugees from returning to their previous sites to find/source anything they may have left behind e.g. water cans, tarpaulin, possessions.
-Drop in donations and volunteer availability also means goods and funds – and volunteers – are needed as ever.
